Prince Harry is 'exploiting' Buckingham Palace by signing Netflix deal with Meghan Markle and agreeing to reality series
PRINCE Harry is exploiting Buckingham Palace after signing a £112million Netflix deal, a former minister said today.
Norman Baker, who was appointed Minister of State for Crime Prevention in 2013, said the Duke of Sussex should not be using his HRH title when signing huge multi-million pound TV deals.

Both Harry and Meghan have agreed to be filmed for a fly-on-the-wall reality series with one source saying the former actress wants the world to see the “real her”.
They will be followed for three months but it is not yet known if cameras will be allowed into their £11.5million, nine-bedroom home in Montecito.
But Mr Baker today told Good Morning Britain that Harry has “divorced himself from the royal family” and is “clearly exploiting” his connections with Buckingham Palace.
He said: “HRH means he is representing Britain abroad, and he's not representing Britain abroad.
'EXPLOITING THE PALACE'
“He's clearly divorced himself from the royal family in practical terms.
“Let's be frank about this, Netflix wouldn't be offering a huge deal to Harry because of his interesting views.
“They're offering him the deal because of his connections with the royal family, which he is therefore exploiting.
“Harry is clearly exploiting the Buckingham Palace connection and the fact is, he has to make up his mind, is he in the royal family or isn't he?
“If he wants to run away and do a Netflix documentary that's fine, as a private individual – but not when he keeps his HRH title.
“They want the coverage and want the privacy when they want.
They're offering him the deal because of his connections with the royal family, which he is therefore exploiting."
“The Queen can take away the title because it was taken away from Harry's mother after her divorce, so there's a precedent for this.”
However, royal biographer Ingrid Seward said it would be “very churlish” to remove Harry’s title.
She told the programme: “The title was a gift from the Queen on the wedding day of one of her favourite grandchildren and his wife to be.
“It would be very churlish to say they can't have this title anymore.
“Everyone knows them as Harry and Meghan. I agree they are trading off their royal connections, but that's who they are.
“The Queen is very religious and very forgiving, she doesn't want to upset America.
If he wants to run away and do a Netflix documentary that's fine, as a private individual – but not when he keeps his HRH title.
“The royal family tried very hard to have America as an ally, it would be the wrong thing to do – she's the only person that can do it.
“They've got a review coming up in the spring of next year. The Queen said 'you go and do your own thing and we will review the situation in a year’.
“If anything will happen about the removal of their titles it won't happen until next year.”
The Sussexes moved to the US after moaning about alleged media intrusion.
Former Suits actress Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, had said they wanted to “shine a light on people and causes around the world”.
A source said: “They may have had all these lofty ideas about producing epics highlighting environmental causes and the poverty gap, but Netflix obviously want their pound of flesh."
The source said: “Much of the docuseries will be about their philanthropy rather than what they get up to behind closed doors.
“But it will still be a fascinating insight and Meghan hopes viewers will get to see the real her.”
It comes as Piers Morgan finally got Susanna Reid to turn on Meghan and Harry after they agreed to be filmed for the new reality show.
The Good Morning Britain host has been a staunch critic of the pair while his co-host Susanna has always defended Harry and Meghan- even praising them for using their huge platform to speak out on important issues.
But on GMB today Piers shared his reaction to the news the couple, who live in a Santa Barbara mansion, have agreed to the new series, and Susanna finally caved.
Piers, 55, told viewers: "At what point does the penny drop that she came over here, took our prince and now Mrs Privacy is making a 150 million (dollars) fly on the wall documentary where every part of their lives is going to be filmed."
Turning to Susanna, 49, he added: "At what point do these scales come down from your eyes?"
And she replied: "I have reached a tipping point.
Susanna added: "I am a really private person and I think if you are going to complain about intrusion into your privacy then having a fly on the wall series on your private life is not the message you should be sending."
Piers then branded Meghan Markle the new "Kim Kardashian" after the news Keeping Up With The Kardashians had been cancelled.
