12-Year-Old Mensa Member Tells Parents He Wants Crypto for Christmas
A British schoolboy who apparently had two wishes for Christmas — an IQ test anda crypto potfolio — reportedly got both wishes granted by his parents.
A report by Cointelegraph published on December 25 says that British schoolboy Barnaby Swinburn, who is a resident of Bristol, England, “had asked for two Christmas presents, a Mensa test for testing his IQ and a cryptocurrency portfolio.”
It went on to say that according to a report by Bristol Live, Barnaby got 162 on the IQ test, thereby beating Einstien’s estimated IQ of 160. This result enabled Swinburn to become a member of the Mensa club, which is “open to persons who have attained a score within the upper two percent of the general population on an approved intelligence test, one that has been properly administered and supervised.” Britisol Live says that Barnaby scored in the top one percent.
Barnaby’s mom, Ghislaine, had this to say about her son’s interest in the markets:
“He’s been watching the markets. He’ll be getting an envelope with money in it for Christmas which he’ll turn into cryptocurrency.”
What we have not found out yet is how much money Barnaby got and what cryptoassets he invested in.
Barnaby says that he eventually to become a programmer and according to his mom is “already looking at university courses, and he wants to go to Oxford.”
