'Bitcoin To The Moon' – Lindsey Lohan Affirms
Bitcoin’s price has been surging in recent months, setting new record highs every other month. This has attracted wide interest from mainstream media, and with it, celebrity endorsements for the top crypto. Elon Musk, Kanye West, Ashton Kutcher, Maisie Williams, Paris Hilton, Floyd Mayweather and more have all expressed interest in Bitcoin.
The latest to do it is American singer, actress and TV personality Lindsey Lohan.
Lohan’s endorsement comes at a time when Bitcoin is soaring. The flagship crypto is currently trading at $44,613 with a market cap of $830 billion. This makes it the seventh most valuable asset globally, bigger than Facebook and Visa. In the past 7 days, it has gained 26% following news that Tesla had invested $1.5 billion in the crypto.
This is not the first time Lohan is expressing support for Bitcoin. Last month, the actress made a video on Cameo predicting that Bitcoin and Ethereum would hit new highs. She predicted Bitcoin would hit $100,000 as the largest altcoin, Ethereum, hits $10,000.
When Lohan made the video, Bitcoin was trading at $32,044. It has since gained 41% to hit a new all-time high. As for Ethereum, it was trading at $965. It has since then gained 79% and is now trading at $1,729.
At the time, Lohan made the video in a paid capacity for a private group known as Crypto Buzz. She told her fans:
“I’m just here to say that Ethereum is going to $10,000 and Bitcoin is going to $100,000. Enjoy a prosperous 2021 and I hope you all get to drive your Lambos to the moon.”
Celebs back in crypto
Lohan is just one of many celebrities who are taking a dip in the crypto waters. The leader in this field is Elon Musk, the outspoken visionary behind Tesla and SpaceX. Musk has been a Bitcoin advocate for years now. He has been singlehandedly behind a number of BTC bull runs over the years. Sometimes, all it takes is for him to change his Twitter bio to ‘#Bitcoin’ for its price to surge.
Musk is credited with being behind the current BTC price rally. This was after his company, Tesla, bought $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin.
Musk has also had a fondness for Dogecoin over the years. He has used his Twitter page, which has over 45 million followers, to tout the meme crypto for several months. In the past two weeks, he has especially been hyping the project, propelling it into the top 10 ahead of Stellar, EOS, Bitcoin Cash, and others.
Other celebrities have also been promoting digital currencies of late. They include iconic rapper and producer Snoop Dogg who also tweeted his support for Dogecoin. Gene Simmons, the lead singer of rock band KISS, also revealed he has invested in Dogecoin and a couple of other altcoins.
