IC Markets Expands Sponsorship Portfolio with European Football Deals

FX and CFD trading services provider, IC Markets has enhanced its global sports sponsorship portfolio with the signing of sponsorship deals with some of the major professional football clubs in Spain and Germany.

The company has secured the sponsorship of clubs in La Liga and Bundesliga. The Spanish teams included in the recent sponsorship deal were RCD Mallorca, Cadiz, Real Sociedad, Athletic Club Bilbao, Getafe, and Granada.

As far as Germany’s Bundesliga is concerned, the company signed sponsorship deals with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg, DSC Arminia Bielefeld, Greuther Fürth and VfL Bochum.

IC Markets aims to expand its global brand awareness through the latest partnerships. The broker will gain exposure to live and broadcast audiences through branded LED displays on the teams’ home grounds, logo, and IP rights.

“Practice, hard work, and discipline are the foundations for success, and these values are in abundance in European football. The Bundesliga and La Liga stand out as leading examples of the virtues of sportsmanship, and IC Markets is proud to be taking this step with a league with such a rich legacy,” IC Markets CEO Andrew Budzinski commented.

Branding through Football

Leading financial companies around the world always preferred football clubs for global brand awareness, mainly due to the massive international popularity of the sport. La Liga and Bundesliga are Europe’s most elite football competitions. IC Markets will have exposure to an average attendance of 25,000 for La Liga and 40,000 for Bundesliga games.

“Under the sponsorship terms, the IC Markets brand will gain exposure to live and broadcast audiences through branded LED displays on the teams’ home grounds, logo and IP rights, as well as access to VIP experiences and merchandise. The partnerships were facilitated by the global sport business agency SPORTFIVE,” IC Markets added.

Launched in 2007, IC Markets is offering services to clients around the world including retail investors and institutional traders.
