Agua Dulce fire station alert over ‘active shooter’ after ‘reports of gunshot wounds’ in California
THE AGUA Dulce fire station is on alert over an alleged active shooter after "reports of gunshot wounds" in California today.
Los Angeles County Fire Department inspector Leslie Lua told the California News Times that officials were on their way to the scene as of 11.10am local time.
"We were responding to reports of gunshot wounds and two ambulances were requested," Lua told the outlet.
A fire department helicopter was also called to the scene.
According to ABC7, one firefighter has been killed and another has been injured.
Cops are currently searching for the shooter, who is believed to still be at large and driving a white Toyota pickup truck.
One reporter claims that she heard on a scanner that the suspect "plans on shooting at anyone who approaches."
Authorities were also on the scene of a house fire which they believe may be linked to the shooting, CBSLA reported.
A Twitter scanner claimed that the suspect may have driven to the location of the fire.
A source told ABC7 that the suspect set their own home on fire.
Residents are being told to avoid the area.
