Andrew 'told royal police to f*** off when they confronted him'

‘This is my house, I go where I want, now F*** OFF’: What ‘scruffy’ Prince Andrew ‘told stunned royal protection officers when they confronted him in Buckingham Palace after spotting tracksuit-wearing intruder on CCTV’

  • Prince Andrew allegedly told royal police to ‘f**k off’ after sparking Buckingham Palace security scare
  • Paul Page claimed Queen’s second son was momentarily mistaken for tracksuit-wearing intruder on CCTV
  • The prince had his own rooms at Buckingham Palace, where he would frequently stay when he was in London
  • Mr Page called Andrew a ‘f**king a**hole’ and a ‘bully’, and claimed alleged incident was typical behaviour

A ‘scruffy’ Prince Andrew wearing a tracksuit allegedly told royal police to ‘f**k off’ after the duke sparked a security scare outside the Queen’s bedroom at Buckingham Palace, an officer has claimed.

Paul Page, who served as a Royal protection officer at the Palace between 1998 and 2004, claimed that the Queen’s second son was momentarily mistaken for an intruder on CCTV during the alleged incident in the early 2000s.

The Duke of York’s main residence is the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, which he shares with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. However, the prince had his own rooms at Buckingham Palace, where he would frequently stay when he was in London.

Mr Page called the prince a ‘f**king a**hole’, ‘rude’ and a ‘bully’, and claimed the alleged incident was typical behaviour for Andrew.

The allegations come after the duke sensationally demanded a ‘trial by jury’ to tackle allegations made by a Jeffrey Epstein ‘sex slave’ head-on.

Mr Page told The Sun: ‘It was at night, and we were checking CCTV in the control room when we saw a man walking along the corridor in the Queen’s private quarters. Her Majesty was not at Buckingham Palace at the time, so this was a major potential security scare. A sergeant, myself, and two other police officers went to her apartments to investigate.

‘We approached from either end of the corridor so we could surround the potential intruder. But when we got there, we realised it was Prince Andrew.

‘He looked scruffy and was wearing a tracksuit. I apologised and said, “I’m sorry, your Highness, we went to investigate a possible intruder in Her Majesty’s apartments. Andrew replies, “This is my house, I go where I want, now f**k off”’.

Prince Andrew today gave up his honorary membership at the prestigious home of golf as the fallout from his civil sex case continues – meaning he will no longer walk the fairways at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.

Giving up his membership at one of the world’s oldest golf clubs, located in Fife, will be a humiliation for the embattled Duke of York who is a passionate golf fan and has met many top names in the sport over the years.

The R&A had faced intense pressure over Andrew’s patronage as the scandal regarding his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein intensified and after the Queen stripped him of his military and other royal patronages earlier this month.

However the Duke – who has been the patron at 24 golf clubs, societies and associations – had kept his links with his favourite sport and holding the honorary life membership at the R&A was his most distinguished position.

In addition, all of the Duke’s royal patronages have now been wiped from the Royal Family’s official website, with his name no longer appearing on a drop-down menu on the ‘Charities and Patronages’ section of Royal.UK.

Meanwhile the Queen, 95, was photographed this morning near Wood Farm on her Sandringham estate where she is staying for the next few weeks, just over one month after her Christmas visit to Norfolk was cancelled.

She normally hosts her family at Sandringham over the holidays, and on Christmas Day the royals attend church nearby. But the Queen chose in December to remain at Windsor Castle following rising Covid-19 cases at the time.

On February 6, her reign will pass the milestone of 70 years and herald the start of Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Her winter break normally ends after her Accession Day, February 6 – the day her father George VI died in 1952.

He added: ‘I never had any problems with any other members of the Royal Family in my time at Buckingham Palace. The Queen is a lovely lady. But Prince Andrew had this nasty side to him, he treated staff terribly. He got away with it for so long.’

A spokesperson for Andrew made no comment about Mr Page’s claims when approached by The Sun.

Mr Page was jailed in 2009 for his part in a £3million property scam, setting up a sham company and tricking colleagues, friends, and family into giving him their money.

Mr Page was interviewed by ITV’s Ranvir Singh for the documentary Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile earlier this month.

In the interview, he claimed the duke would have a tantrum and ‘shout and scream’ if his ‘huge collection of teddy bears’ was positioned out of place by royal servants. He also claimed Andrew had a picture in a drawer next to his bed showing his 50 to 60 bears in the correct position.

Mr Page has also called for a royal bullying probe into Andrew similar to that faced by Meghan Markle, The Mirror reports. The Duchess of Sussex has denied bullying claims as smears.

Last week, former Buckingham Palace maid Charlotte Briggs claimed she was left ‘in tears’ after the ‘demanding’ and ‘foul-mouthed’ Andrew made her run up four flights of stairs to shut his curtains while he was sat next to them.

It comes amid reports that Prince Charles, Prince William and other senior royals are said to be ‘deeply shocked’ by Andrew’s dramatic decision to tackle accusations of rape and sexual assault made by Virginia Roberts Giuffre in court.

Members of the Royal Family will urge the duke to settle with Miss Roberts, which could cost him £10million. Senior royals are said to be exerting pressure on him to pay off Miss Roberts to avoid corroding his mother’s Platinum Jubilee, fearing a trial could be ‘many times worse’ than his car crash BBC Newsnight interview from 2019.

So far Andrew appears to be ignoring them, after the Queen ‘swiftly and ruthlessly’ forced him to step down from his remaining royal patronages and demanded he fight the case as a ‘private citizen’.

But experts have suggested his hard line could be a ‘bluff’ and a desperate bid to ‘buy time’ to reach an out-of-court settlement with his accuser.

In his official response to claims made against him by Miss Roberts five months ago, the duke issued 41 denials, rejecting all allegations of wrongdoing – but said a further 40 times that he ‘lacks sufficient information to admit or deny’ other claims.

He also submitted 11 defences calling for the case to be dismissed, including that Miss Roberts’ claims should be barred by ‘her own wrongful conduct’ and ‘unclean hands’. His decision to go ahead with the case puts him in contravention with the Royal Family who, sources say, are ‘desperate’ for him to settle and avoid the spectacle of a trial in New York later this year during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

A source said: ‘Andrew is on collision course with the Palace over this.’

Andrew had not officially responded to the 73-point civil claim as his lawyers almost immediately applied to a New York judge for it to be thrown out.

That was dismissed earlier this month, meaning he now needs to formally answer the accusations against him, including claims that Miss Roberts, suing under her married made of Giuffre, was trafficked to him by his friend, paedophile Epstein, and forced to have sex with the duke on three occasions when she was 17.

She says this amounts to rape, sexual assault and battery as she seeks unspecified damages, thought to be in the millions of pounds. Andrew’s eight admissions were limited to information already public, such as that he is a UK citizen and resides at Royal Lodge on the Windsor Estate.

Prince Andrew has responded to sex assault claims by Virginia Giuffre-Roberts in a new court document. Virginia alleges she was forced to have sex with the royal three times when she was aged 17 by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The first page of the document shows Andrew’s official denial of Giuffre’s claim.

He admits his walk with Epstein in Central Park in 2010 and staying at the paedophile’s Manhattan mansion on the same trip, both caught on camera.

But in his rebuttal of Miss Roberts’ complaint, Andrew denies he ever sexually abused her and refuses to ‘admit or deny’ her assertions that she was a victim of Epstein.

He even – quite remarkably given photographic evidence of their relationship over the years – denies being a ‘close friend’ of Epstein’s girlfriend and now convicted sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Andrew’s legal team also reject Miss Roberts’ accusation that he has refused to co-operate with US authorities in their investigation of Epstein and his co-conspirators, despite officials claiming he has done just that. Andrew makes clear he continues to dispute Miss Roberts is resident in the state of Colorado, which allows her to bring the case in the US.

Now a 38-year-old mother-of-three, she lives in Perth, Australia, and it is understood Andrew’s legal team still intend to pursue this in a bid to get the case thrown out.

Regarding associations with Epstein, the royal admits he met him ‘in or around 1999’ but rejects that Maxwell was a ‘close friend’ and claims he lacks sufficient information to deny or confirm they were photographed ‘at numerous social events together’.

He says he cannot admit or deny flight logs put him on Epstein’s private jet or that he visited his private island. He confirms Epstein and Maxwell attended his 40th birthday party in 2000 – but denies throwing Maxwell a birthday party at the Sandringham estate that year.
