Dad who murdered baby girl Willow then tried to claim she fell off sofa as he played Call of Duty is jailed for life
A MONSTER dad who murdered his baby daughter then tried claiming she fell off the sofa as he played Call of Duty has been caged for life.
Jordan Lee flew into a rage when four-month-old Willow wouldn't stop crying and violently shook her.
The baby was rushed to hospital but died from a traumatic head injury consistent with forceful shaking and a probable impact to the head.
Lee, 21, then spun a web of lies – claiming the tot had possibly rolled off while he was "focused a bit too much" on his video game.
But jurors saw through his deception and convicted the vile dad of murder at Preston Crown Court.
He was today caged for life with a minimum of 16 years.
'BLUE-EYED ANGEL'
In an emotional statement, Willow's mum Jade Bell spoke about her heartbreak at having to "let my precious girl go".
She added: "Willow was such a beautiful happy baby that had the best cheeky smile, and that smile would always cheer you up and light up the room.
"We all miss her dearly and there are not enough words to express that. To have lost her at such a young age and in the way we have has impacted myself and my family so much and my life will never be the same without my blue-eyed angel.
"“The first time anyone met her they instantly fell in love; she was always so happy and smiley. I will always remember the amazing times I had with Willow and how she changed my life.
"I could talk about her forever and how she will always be my perfect baby and forever my Willow Grace."
BRUTAL MURDER
She described her last memory of Willow "helpless with tubes and wires attached to her little body" while on life support as "something that I will never forget".
Jade added: "It was heartbreaking, it still is heartbreaking and will always be heartbreaking. At that point, I could never see how life could be normal again for me and my family, and of course it never will.
"I feel all the overwhelming love I have for her, and I feel the grief and horror of losing her every single day."
The court was told Lee was looking after Willow with his brother Daniel while Jade was at work on December 3.
But he grew more and more frustrated with the baby as the day went on and began "getting really angry and shouting at her".
His brother Daniel even messaged Jade at one point, saying: "He's seriously not fit to be a father. I feel sorry for Willow."
'IMMENSE PAIN'
The mum replied: "Please, please make sure he doesn't hurt her in any way".
At around 5pm, Daniel heard his brother yelling at Willow to "shut up" followed by a thud.
Lee then ran upstairs with the baby in his arms looking "unresponsive and floppy".
He tried claiming to his family and paramedics Willow had fallen off the sofa but a post mortem revealed her horrific injuries.
The baby sustained a serious traumatic head injury consistent with an assault, forceful shaking and a probable impact to the head.
Pathologists concluded the degree of force required was considerable and would have caused her "immense pain and suffering".
They also found she had suffered a bleed to the brain and bruises on the left side of her face consistent with gripping, pinching or punching.
Det Insp Mark Dickinson, of the Lancashire Police Force Major Investigation Team, said: “Willow Lee was a four-month-old baby who died at the hands of someone who should have protected her – her father, Jordan Lee.

“Lee carried out a horrendous series of assaults on his daughter, leaving her with catastrophic head injuries. These injuries led to her death three days later.
“Willow’s mother and wider family have been left utterly heartbroken by her death and I have no doubt they will never fully recover from this horrendous loss.
"They have also been forced through the ordeal of giving evidence at trial. I can only commend them for the dignified way in which they have conducted themselves."
