Kidnappers targeted two women before one of them raped his victim

Kidnappers targeted two women in a nightclub before one of them raped his victim and then had a McDonald’s

  • Both Badr Alhadidi, 39, and Dhari Alshammari, 27, will be sentenced on May 26
  • A detective said the two men were ‘predators’ with a ‘sinister intention in mind’

A pair of evil thugs who kidnapped two women they met in a nightclub before dragging them back to a property where one of them was raped are facing jail.

Badr Alhadidi, 39, and Dhari Alshammari, 27, targeted the women at a nightspot in Vauxhall, London, where they approached them on the dancefloor.

Alshammari then poured vodka into glasses for the women while Alhadidi waited for them outside the toilets.

A court heard how the four of them left the club at around 6am on July 16 last year before the men bundled the drunk lone women into a car.

After driving them to an address in Kensington, CCTV footage showed Alshammari dragging one of the victims along the pavement.

Dhari Alshammari, 27, was charged with kidnap and one count of rape and was found guilty of both charges

Badr Alhadidi, 39, was found guilty of kidnap but cleared of three counts of rape and sexual assault by penetration

Both women were forced through a doorway where they then collapsed.

Inside the property Alshammari raped one of the women, before going to a nearby McDonald’s to order food on his way back home to Wandsworth.

Later that morning Alhadidi, from Birmingham, drove the woman to a petrol station in another area of London and left them.

The women were seen on CCTV falling over and falling into traffic as they were still drunk on their walk home.

One of the victims reported the incident to the police but could not remember a portion of the evening.

She said she remembered being pinned down in a car and sexually assaulted in a room.

After analysing CCTV footage the police were able to identify and arrest the two men a couple of days later.

When the men were shown the footage in their police interviews they both laughed and maintained that both complainants were sober and consented.

Alshammari was charged with kidnap and one count of rape and was found guilty of both charges.

Alhadidi was found guilty of kidnap but cleared of three counts of rape and sexual assault by penetration.

Both men will be sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on May 26.

Detective Constable Tony Larkin, who led the investigation, said: ‘Alhadidi and Alshammari are two predators who set out that night with only one sinister intention in mind.

‘They had a clear plan of how they were going to target the victim-survivors and thought they could get away with it.

‘They’ve shown no remorse and have no idea how much harm and distress they have caused.

‘The CCTV footage reviewed as part of our investigation was harrowing and showed real violence and monstrous treatment of the victim-survivors.

‘I would like to thank the victim-survivors in coming forward and reporting this to police, they have been extremely brave.

‘No matter when someone choses to report a rape or sexual assault, detectives will always listen to and support you.’
