This the moment a sneaky alligator took off with a golfer’s ball on a course in Mississippi.
In the video, taken in Gulfport and shared online by one of the men’s wives, golfers can be heard laughing as one zooms in on the animal with the ball in its jaws.
It is then seen crawling towards the pond behind it and disappears under the water still carrying the ball.
The golfers filmed the animal on October 9 after one of them hit a ball which landed right by the water.
The men can be heard exclaiming ‘my god’ as the animal scoops up the ball in its jaws, before one of the chuckling players says: ‘He ate it!’
As the alligator begins to creep back into the river, another man says: ‘That’s not good!’

Sharing the footage on October 20, one of the player’s wives joked: ‘Is this considered a drop ball now?’
Commenters suggested the alligator thought the golf ball was an egg, adding: ‘That’s going to be disappointing!’
It’s not the first time an alligator has disrupted a game of golf.
David Ksieniewicz was playing at a South Carolina golf club in April when his shot landed on an alligator’s back.
He left the animal to waddle back into a lake with the ball at Okatie’s Spring Island Club.
Players usually have to take a shot from where the ball has landed but Ksieniewicz chose to reset.
He was allowed as he had run into ‘abnormal course conditions’ which include ‘dangerous animals’.
