HORRIFYING pictures show the moment a huge rat was spotted devouring fried chicken at a restaurant.
The rodent had craftily climbed into the display counter at the venue in Malaysia and was helping itself to some food in front of stunned diners.
Skin-crawling photos show the furry critter tucking into hot fried chicken right in view of customers.
According to the diner who took the grim snaps, the rat took a few bites before scurrying off to the other side of the counter.
He said staff frantically scrubbed the area after making sure the rat had been booted out.
The shocked customer told World of Buzz: "I did inform the workers there about the rat and they immediately disposed of the poultry and cleaned the area."

It is understood officials from the country's Ministry of Health intervened following the unwanted guest's visit in December.
The venue is believed to have been told to close for 14 days for an intense clean.
It comes after an Indian restaurant was blasted after a rat was spotted licking the window.
The rodent was seen by a number of passers-by at Bay Spice Indian and Bangladesh takeaway on Neath Road, Briton Ferry in South Wales.

The restaurant had been closed for around two years at the time of the incident in 2020 according to locals.
Neath Port Talbot Council awarded it a four star hygiene rating when it was last inspected in 2017.
Meanwhile, a giant rat plunged through a restaurant ceiling before landing on a horrified diner's menu.
Alisha Norman was at a branch of Buffalo Wild Wings in Los Angeles when the rodent fell onto her table in 2019.
The science teacher claims the rat was alive when it plummeted from the roof.
She said: I knew the rat was going to be injured because it hit like a Mack truck."
"You could hear something come down. It was terrible. It was disgusting."
The restaurant gave her a free meal as compensation.
