A recall effort against California Gov. Gavin Newsom has garnered enough valid signatures to appear on the ballot, officials said Monday.

More than 1.6 million signatures have been verified to enable a recall election, which would likely be held in the fall, according to the California secretary of state’s office.

California voters would face two questions on the ballot: Should Newsom be recalled and who should replace him?

More than half of the voters must say yes on the first question in order for the answers on the second to be counted.

Last week, Caitlyn Jenner, a longtime Republican, announced she is running to replace Newsom.

The 71-year-old has a team of ex-Trump aides behind her, Axios has reported.

The last California governor to be recalled was Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, who in 2003 was replaced by Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger.
