This is the moment a Domino’s delivery rider drove along the wrong side of the road, narrowly avoided a collision with an oncoming car – and then argued with the driver.

Motorist John Langley captured the near-miss on his dashcam just outside the London Palladium on Argyll Street on Wednesday.

Footage shows him driving down the street before a moped carrying Domino’s delivery boxes and displaying L-plates comes zooming directly towards him, overtaking a line of stationary traffic.

Mr Langley abruptly brakes to avoid hitting the moped rider who veers to the side at the last moment and stops.

The annoyed pizza rider can be heard exclaiming: ‘Now what? Now what?’ as the two vehicles are both stationary in the middle of the street.

Mr Langley replies: ‘You go over there, why are you driving on the wrong side of the road?’

The rider replies and angrily asks him: ‘Now what? Do something, go on.’

The heated altercation continues as the rider challenges Mr Langley’s driving.

The exasperated driver replies: ‘Look mate when you get a full driving licence for a motorbike then you can say something.

‘Now p*** off. You are overtaking where you shouldn’t be, you are the a******e.’

The footage was shared online with many viewers criticising the delivery rider.

One asked: ‘Where does it say in the Highway Code to move over for a delivery driver on the wrong side of the road?’

Another added: ‘They can’t always assume that other motorists will give way.’

A spokesperson for Domino’s said: ‘The safety of the public and our colleagues is our main priority when our drivers are out delivering pizzas.

‘Domino’s delivery drivers fully comply with the law and are all qualified to ride our mopeds.

‘They also complete comprehensive safe driving training when they join our business.

‘We are working with the local store to remind them of the importance of road safety and the standards that Domino’s expects from all its colleagues to ensure this doesn’t happen again.’
