Tech mogul turned biohacker Bryan Johnson has announced he has started undergoing penis rejuvenation therapy.
The 45-year-old, who made millions off his online payment platform Braintree, has gone all-out to optimize his health and de-age himself.
Known for taking dozens of supplements everyday, the billionaire has now announced he is undergoing shock therapy to improve his erections.
Posting on X, Johnson said: ‘Started first penis rejuvenation therapy. Focused shockwave therapy 6 treatments, 3x/wk Cost $1-2k.’
According to Johnson, controlled trials show that the shockwave therapy improves erectile dysfunction.

His post continued: ‘We are testing whether it improves total time nighttime erections, subjective sexual performance, sexual satisfaction, and medical imaging-based penile markers.’
Johnson also added that the machine he will be hooked up to is operated by STORZ Medical, and will blast him with 4,000 shocks per treatment.
The University of Utah offers shockwave therapy as an option for patients suffering from ED, but they clearly state it is an ‘experimental treatment option’.
According to the University, data shows the experimental treatment can stimulate blood flow and potentially grow new vessels.
The treatment has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in treating ED.
Risks of the therapy include pain, bleeding or bruising on and around the penis, blood in the urine and penile curvature, according to the University.
They also said that it takes anywhere from one to three months for results to show, but initial results can be dramatic.
Prior to announcing he was undergoing treatment, Johnson said that he had hoped to gain a nighttime erection of three hours and thirty minutes.
He then tweeted confirming that this means he would be erect for three hours and thirty minutes a night, and that poor sleep can effect this.
Johnson is said to spend $2million a year on a project to reverse the aging of all of his body’s organs
Johnson exercises for an hour a day with more intensive workout sessions three times a week
This is the latest part of his militant and eccentric regimen which has been estimated to cost him $2 million a year.
As well as taking dozens of supplements a day, he eats a strict vegan diet of blended foods which he documents meticulously.
He has taken over 33,000 images of his bowels and monitors everything from his bone weight to his number of nighttime erections.
Johnson and his doctors claim that in two years he has reduced his overall biological age by more than five years and now has the heart of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old and the lung capacity and fitness of an 18-year-old.
He starts his day at 5am followed by an intense hour-long high intensity workout,, and goes to bed at the same time every night only after wearing blue light-blocking glasses for two hours prior.
But the lifestyle he once led to build that company left him feeling depressed and suicidal, he told Bloomberg, leading to him embarking on a journey to understand the workings of his body.
Along the way the father of three founded several bio startups before, two years ago, committing to perhaps his most ambitious project yet – reengineering his body.
As part of what he calls Project Blueprint, Johnson lives according to a regime that looks more like a full-time job.

He has had his pelvic floor blasted with electromagnetic pulses to improve his muscle tone in hard-to-reach places, and wears glasses that block out blue light for two hours before he goes to sleep at the same time every day.
Johnson says his aim is to ensure that his brain, liver, kidneys, teeth, skin, hair, penis and rectum are functioning as they were when he was 18.
‘The Blueprint has that kind of potential of reimagining our relationship with health and time, and we really could be on the cusp of something dramatically different and better,’ he added.
‘There is no person in the world who is 45 chronologically but 35 in every organ,’ his lead doctor, 29-year-old Oliver Zolman, told Bloomberg.
Johnson and Zolman together go through the latest scientific literature and use Johnson as a Guinea pig to test promising cutting-edge treatments.

Johnson claims to take in an exact 1,977 calories a day through a strictly vegan diet, ensuring his body fat levels remain between 5 and 6 percent
Johnson now lives in Venice, California, in a home he purchased in 2017 for $5.7million
For Zolman, the improvements they have been able to make on Johnson’s body thus far are just the beginning. ‘We have not achieved any remarkable results,’ he said. ‘In Bryan, we have achieved small, reasonable results, and it’s to be expected.’
Johnson exercises for an hour a day with more intensive workout sessions three times a week. It is integral to his mission that his bodily functions are tested religiously.
He monitors his waking body temperature, blood glucose, heart-rate variations and oxygen levels while sleeping.
On top of this, he also undergoes regular tests aimed more specifically at his kidneys, prostate, thyroid and nervous system.
