THIS ordinary looking bedroom door is hiding an incredible secret – it is only accessible by LADDER.

The flat needs a 10-rung aluminium ladder to reach the bedroom because the home doesn't have a set of stairs.

Housing protest group Take Back The City shared an image of the apartment on their social media to highlight the "dangerous" flat.

A ladder is propped up against the wall in the flat in Mountjoy Square, Dublin where tenants pay between £260 and £445-a-month in rent.

Michelle Connolly, of Take Back The City, described accommodation access as “absolutely ridiculous”.

Speaking to the Irish Sun, she said: “Numerous teams of members have been going out into the local area and door-knocking to chat to people about their housing issues.

"The area is absolutely rife with housing problems and this was one of the more extreme cases.

“It is absolutely ridiculous standard of living. It is free standing for the most part and is pretty unsteady.

"It doesn’t stop at the base of the door it goes halfway up the door – making it even more dangerous. It clearly looks like a ladder you would use to wash windows or something.”

Michelle added that numerous people within the organisation have come across situations where a ladder was required to access a bed, but has never as the only access to an entire room.
