Who was Marvin 'Sarge' Summers?
Sarge Summers was an active businessman who had spent decades of his life working in the oil and gas industry, according to his LinkedIn.
From December of 1970 until January of 1992, Sarge was an active member of the United States Army.
He retired as a Sergeant First Class, reportedly receiving a number of military and civilian awards during his time in service.
Sarge authored the Sarge Summers' Sales Strategy Seminar, which explains his "Five S's to Successful Selling."
According to his Twitter account, Sarge is both a father and grandfather.
What was his cause of death?
A Texas Railroad Commissioner candidate, Marvin Summers died in a collision near Highway 349 around 1.30pm local time on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Midland city officials, Summers rear-ended a semi-truck that was turning onto a private drive.
No other injuries have been reported from the incident.
