SkyBridge Capital Founder: Next Batch of Presidential Candidates Will Be Pro-Crypto

Former White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci, who is the founder and managing partner of global alternative investment firm SkyBridge Capital (“SkyBridge”), is predicting that both candidates in the 2024 U.S. presidential election will be supporters of crypto.

During in an interview on Crypto Banter, Scaramucci gave the prediction that the White House will become increasingly favorable towards crypto, culminating in two pro-crypto candidates in the next presidential election.

Scaramucci, who served as White House Director of Communications during the Trump Administration, highlighted Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s comments that crypto is increasingly becoming a part of American finances.

As reported by The Daily Hodl, Scaramucci said:

Let me just say this to you, follow the money because there is a water-wall of money entering Washington from the different associations and lobbying groups. I’ll make a prediction on your show that the 2024 final two presidential candidates will be pro-crypto, pro-blockchain. Follow the money.

Scaramucci claimed that previous critics of crypto were warming up to digital assets following President Joe Biden’s recent Infrastructure Bill. Scaramucci noted the pressure on the White House and US politicians to serve their crypto-holding constituents.

He continued:

You have 73 million people that own [crypto]…This is a ‘DLO’– decentralized lobbying organization. 73 million people descending on these people, calling them. That’s how Washington works.

Scaramucci compared the political response towards crypto with Uber, saying that regulators originally did not want to allow the ride-sharing service. However, due to its massive popularity, politicians began to shift their views to be more supportive, thereby responding to the “will of the people.”
