Vitalik Buterin told Lex Fridman that he bought $25,000 worth of DOGE in 2016, while the cryptocurrency was still relatively unknown. He made $4.3 million by selling half of his Dogecoin. The fast growth in the meme token, according to the Ethereum co-founder, was so significant that many people know about the meme coin but not much about Ethereum.

Buterin also mentioned how “amazing” it would be to have a secure Doge-to-Ethereum bridge.

“Once Ethereum gets its scalability, any scalability thing that works for Ethereum as such that you would be able to also trade Doge with extremely low transaction fees and very high speed as well,” the Ethereum co-creator said.

After some Dogecoin developers realized that Vitalik, the co-founder of the second-largest digital asset, was also supportive of the meme coin, they gave some coins to him. Moreover, The coin’s developers had already handed Buterin 50% of all Shiba Inu tokens. Buterin had stated that burning the digital currency was the best way to avoid his Shiba Inu transactions being misinterpreted as acts. He has asked that currency producers refrain from sending significant numbers of tokens to individuals or charities without their permission.

“For every poster that was saying ‘No, no — why did Vitalik rug pull on us? His wallet was supposed to be a burn address,’ there were 10 people that were, like, ‘Oh, I thought I was just in this because it’s a fun pyramid-gambling thing?

But instead he says that he ended up being part of this great public good thing for humankind, and that’s even more awesome. He was blown away by the amount of appreciation he received. Overall, he thinks the dog people did a fantastic job.
