After two years of rescheduling due to COVID, Coachella music festival announced it would return for Spring 2022.

One of the world’s largest musical festivals, the event has been held every spring in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado desert since 1999.

Coachella is slated to return the weekends of April 15-17 & 22-24 of next year.

The line up has not been announced yet, but tickets will be available June 4 at 10 a.m. PST.

Coachella music festival announced its return with a simple message on social media: ‘See you in the desert’

The last Coachella music festival was held in April of 2019 before the coronavirus pandemic

‘Our desert homecoming is officially set for April 2022: weekend one will take place on April 15-17, 2022 and weekend two on April 22-24, 2022,’ the announcement said. ‘Our advance sale begins this Friday, June 4th at 10am PT. More time to plan and more time to pay for your passes over time with our flexible payment plan options. Information about flexible payment plans and more at coachella.com’

When the coronavirus pandemic hit the US last year the festival rescheduled from April 2020 to October 2020, before being outright cancelled for the first time in 20 years that June.

The Coachella 2020 lineup featured Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Travis Scott as headliners, with a full lineup including Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, Thom Yorke, Run the Jewels, Danny Elfman, FKA twigs, DaBaby, 21 Savage, Caribou, Lil Nas X, and more, Pitchfork reported.

The festival was then rescheduled for April 2021 before being canceled again in January after California’s public health officer ordered Coachella to cancel the event due to continued concerns over COVID.

Coachella has not yet responded to DailyMail.com on whether attendees would be required to bring proof of vaccination to attend the festival or whether a mask mandate would be in place.
