Police officer 'killer' appears in court after 'shooting cop dead while in station' | The Sun
A MAN accused of killing a cop inside a police station has appeared in court.
Louis De Zoysa, 25, allegedly shot Met Police custody sergeant Matt Ratana dead.
The horrific killing is said to have taken place during the early hours of September 25, 2020.
De Zoysa was handcuffed when he is alleged to have fired four bullets from his holding cell at Croydon Custody Centre.
They then hit Sgt Ratana, 54, and fatally wounded him in the chest.
De Zoysa also injured himself.

Sat in a wheelchair with his right arm in a sling, De Zoysa appeared at the Old Bailey today via a video link from custody.
When asked to confirm his name, De Zoysa wrote it on a white board before holding it up to the screen.
He was not asked to enter any pleas for his charges.
De Zoysa, formerly from Banstead, Surrey, is charged with murder, possession of prohibited firearms and possession of firearms and ammunition without a certificate.

Mr Justice Jeremy Baker set a further hearing for April 24 at Northampton Crown Court.
De Zoysa has been remanded in custody until then and faces a three-week trial from June 6.
