COPS, firefighters and paramedics have been called to a water park in Stoke on Trent after visitors suffered nausea and sore eyes.

Customers who travelled to Waterworld this afternoon have been evacuated in their swimming costumes and the attraction has been closed.

Emergency services are urging members of the public to avoid the area.

Swimmers wrapped in towels are waiting in the car park outside the venue.

Witnesses at the scene say an air ambulance has landed, while "aggressive" coughing can be heard, the Stoke Sentinel reports.
