PRINCE Philip, husband and consort to Queen Elizabeth II, has passed away at the age of 99.
The Duke of Edinburgh was married to Her Majesty for 73 years and was often referred to as the bedrock of the royal family. But where will the Iron Duke be buried?

Will Prince Philip be buried or cremated?
It is not known at this point whether Philip, who died on the morning of Friday, April 9, will be cremated or buried.
However, in accordance with tradition, most senior members of the royal family are buried.
The last royal family member to be cremated was Princess Margaret.
According to reports, this was because Margaret wanted to be buried next to her father George VI at the Royal Vault in Windsor Castle – but there was not enough room.
Where will Prince Philip be buried?
Unlike most monarchs and their consorts, Philip is not expected to be buried at Westminster Abbey or St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
Instead, the Iron Duke will be laid to rest in the private Frogmore Gardens, in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The gardens are said to be special to the couple, and it’s where the Queen walks her corgis.
He won’t be alone – Queen Victoria and Prince Albert are also buried in the gardens.
Family, friends and heads of state from Commonwealth countries are expected to attend the funeral.
Will the Queen be buried with Prince Philip?
Royals fans have speculated that as the longest-serving monarch in history, the Queen may want to be buried in a more prestigious resting place at Westminster Abbey.
Currently, seventeen British monarchs are buried there, including King Henry V and all the Tudors except for Henry VIII.
It would be a very appropriate final resting place for someone as historically important as Queen Elizabeth.
However, being buried at Westminster would mean she wouldn’t be buried next to her husband Prince Philip as he’s not royalty.
There are rumours the Queen would rather be buried at Frogmore Gardens, alongside her husband.
