Video captured early Wednesday morning shows how firefighters extinguished a blaze that damaged approximately 40 cars at an Indianapolis auto yard.
Crews, utilizing tanker operations, aggressively attacked the fire that had broken out at Insurance Auto Auctions and had it under control in less than 40 minutes.
Indianapolis fire says that although many vehicles were destroyed, no one was injured during the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, however officials believe it may be the result of a lightning strike.

Crews were dispatched to Insurance Auto Auctions, located at 3202 S. Harding Street, around 1.45am EST Wednesday for reports of an inferno
When firefighters arrived on scene they found more than three dozen vehicles engulfed in flames
Using tankers and multiple hoses, crews were able to bring water deep into the auto yard and get the inferno under control by 3.26am
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, crews were dispatched to Insurance Auto Auctions, located at 3202 S. Harding Street, around 1.45am EST after receiving 911 calls about a fire and possible explosion at the site.
When firefighters arrived on scene they found more than three dozen vehicles engulfed in flames.
They determined the reported ‘explosions’ were magnesium product, tires and fuel tanks from the vehicles.
Using tankers and multiple hoses, crews were able to bring water deep into the auto yard and get the inferno under control by 3.26am.
At this time it is unclear how the blaze started but officials are looking into the possibility of a lightning strike as heavy storms recently passed through the area.
Indianapolis Fire Department will continue to investigate this incident.
