Huge 6.5 magnitude earthquake hits US coast

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake has struck the Alaska Peninsula.

It’s believed the quake hit east of the city of Chignik.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said it was at a depth of 47 miles.

No tsunami warning has yet been issued.
