What happened to Kristen French, Leslie Mahaffy and Tammy Homolka?

Leslie Mahaffy was abducted and murdered a few weeks before her 15th birthday.

The teen was raped, murdered and body found dismembered in a lake on June 29 1991.

Kristen French, 15, was abducted as she walked home from school on April 19 1992.

Homolka and Bernardo pretended to ask her for directions before Bernardo attacked her from behind and forced her into the car at knifepoint.

Kristen was held captive for three days, filming them torturing her, before killing her and dumping her body next to a road in north Burlington.

Tammy Homolka, 15, meanwhile, was the younger sister of Karla.

Bernardo and Karla plied her booze laced with a drug until she was unconscious before raping her.

She died on Christmas Eve 1990.

When was Homolka released?

She left prison in 2005 following the completion of a sentence earned by striking a deal with prosecutors.

Homolka told authorities she too was abused by Bernardo and was an unwilling accomplice in a move dubbed the “Deal with the Devil” by the Canadian press.

She split from Bernardo while in prison and married her lawyer's brother Thierry Bordelais.

What is Karla Homolka now?

Previously it was reported that Homolka was living in the Montreal suburb of Chateauguay.

Homolka, 47, who has three children from her second marriage, sparked outrage after being spotted after she spotted volunteering at a primary school.

She was pictured outside Greaves Adventist Academy, where her children attend classes, by the Montreal Gazette.

When approached, she tried to shield her face from reporters and stated: “I don’t have nothing to say.”

Andy Maraj, whose daughter attends the school, told the newspaper he discovered her history after a concerned citizen handed out leaflets.

He said: “I told my daughter: ‘This lady, I don’t want you to go near her please. If she calls you, don’t go near her and call me,’ because I don’t trust the school.”

Who is Paul Bernardo?

The then husband of Homolka received a life sentence in 1995 for the murders.

He was convicted of two first-degree murders and two aggravated sexual assaults.

Most of his going-on three decades in prison have been in solitary.

In February 2006 Bernardo reportedly admitted to sexually assaults on at least 10 other women, according to the Toronto Star.
