Blockchain will be implemented in the Chilean national energy network
The Chilean Energy Regulatory Authority, Chile's National Energy Commission (CNE), has announced that it will introduce Blockchain technology into the national ecosystem, according to the industry magazine.
CNE will use Blockchain to authenticate information, such as marginal costs, average market prices, fuel prices and compliance with the renewable energy law.

CNE Executive Secretary Andres Romaro said that the transition to the new technology was made because of concern about the security of the data.
"The National Energy Commission decided to join this innovative technology, and we decided to use it as a digital notary, which will allow us to confirm the information provided while protecting it from changes and editing, while leaving it in public access", Says Romero.
Romero added that the technology will increase confidence in the data provided by the regulatory body, increasing the confidence of investors, stakeholders and the general public. Chile plans to introduce technology this month.
